COVID-19: FG Reveals When Final Year Students, Will Resume School For Their Examinations |
The Federal Government of Nigeria, has today said that, final year students preparing for the West African Examination Council, Senior Secondary School Examination, National Examination Council (NECO) and National Business and Technical Education Board (NABTEB examinations, would soon be allowed to resume for revisions
Minister of State for Education, Hon Chukwuemaka Nwajiuba, said this while answering questions from journalists, at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
He further advised the various state governments, not to be in a hurry to reopen schools in their states, because of the increase in the of cases of the disease, in the country.
Don't be pressurized to reopen schools, because of pressure from children and parents.
Recall that because of the Coronavirus disease in the country, the Federal Government had to close down schools in the country, to curb the spread of the disease.
This is coming as a sign of relief to final year students, preparing for their examinations, as they have been craving for the reopening of schools.
It is further hoped that, other students will follow in a similar manner, with measures being put in place to checkmate, the spread of the disease.
