Federal Government And NUC Reach Final Decision On School Resumption
The National Universities Commission released new directives on school reopening to Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian universities to make for safe as they plan reopening of schools.
There have been gradual reopening of public places after the federal government declared lockdown on all public places in the country to help them fight against covid-19 in the country.
The directive issued to Vice-Chancellors contain the guidelines from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and NUC assurance and guidelines.
The Federal Ministry of Education has agreed with the proposal of the National Universities Commission for Universities to firm up preparation towards the immediate resumption of academic activities.
There shall be an inspection visits from officials of the Universities Commission and from staff of the Ministry of Education on physical facilities like accommodates and healthcare facilities.
