Schools have been closed since March this year due to the Corona Virus Pandemic that has now paralysed also every sector of the economy.
Most of the students and parents have been waiting for the Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha to give direction on when schools can open.

The Education Ministry together with other stakeholders upon their assessment of readiness and preparedness have found out that majority of schools and institutions have not complied with the safety precautions and measures put in place.
The Education CS has noted that some heads of schools are reluctant in implementing safety measures put in place by the health Ministry led by CS Mutahi Kagwe in conjunction with the Education Ministry led by CS George Magoha.
The Cabinet Secretary of Education Magoha has now stated openly that the date for school reopening remains January 2021. He Clearly says that this has been the date and it was never changed.
However,Despite the CS's confirmation,Magoha has assured Kenyans parents and students the date may be a subject of review depending on the behavior of infection.
