Schools Resumption May Be Suspended Again As Governors Meet Over The Second Wave Of The Deadly Virus
The hope for full resumption of schools in Nigeria may likely hit the bricks again as the second wave of the global pandemic is flying in the air all over the places. The FG and the state Governments are doing everything humanly possible to curtail the wide spread of the deadly Coronavirus. It is with this that the Nigerian Governors Forum has scheduled Wednesday, the 20th January, 2021 for their meeting. The meeting is aimed at finding a lasting solution to the unfortunate global pandemic that is eating deep in the fabrics of the nations. The meeting will be the first of its kind since the new year 2021 kicked started. It could be recalled that the federal government has approved the 18th January, 2021 for the general resumption of the schools across the country. Meanwhile, some states are yet to open their schools for the fact that it is not yet safe for academic activities. As the popular saying goes; prevention is far better and cheaper than the cure. Therefore, the meeting of the state governors tomorrow will determining whether the schools that are yet to open should be opened or those opened should be closed down again. The governors meeting for the deliberations will be held virtually.
